God was glorified during Work Camp 2021!

This year, we had 60+ people come and help to serve our community.

Thirty-six women worked extremely hard to keep us fed throughout the week.

We built six ramps in four days!

Several houses were power washed.

Gutters were cleaned.

Dozens of trees were cut down (they never stood a chance).

A ramp was stained.

Many yards were mowed.

We finally cleaned out the unused furniture from the basement of our Annex and washed our bus!

We moved truckloads of river rocks.

Our workers completed thirty-two different jobs throughout the week (and traveled all over Dekalb County during the process).

To wrap up the week on Friday night, Niki Johnson hosted our group for a devotional at her house!

Last week our congregation showed this community that we love its members while simultaneously demonstrating what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus. But here’s my challenge to each of us: Don’t let work camp stop. Look for opportunities each day to love and serve your neighbors. And take advantage of the opportunities that you have to teach others about Jesus!

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10 ESV)

There will be a presentation of the work that was done tonight at 6:00. If you’re a female member and would like to share any of your favorite work camp memories we want you to do so! Please write down your statement and give it to me by services tonight.

In Christ,
Jonathan Anderson
